“Following on from our Preparing for Winter drop-in event held last month in Dalmuir, I am again encouraging everyone to claim for Pension Credit if eligible.

Winter Drop in Event

Pension Credit is worth an average of £3,900 a year. Not only does it top up your state pension, but it can also passport you to a range of other benefits, such as housing benefits, council tax reduction, broadband assistance, free TV licence for over 75’s and of course, the Winter Fuel Payment.

I want to make sure that every pensioner across West Dunbartonshire is aware of all the support that they are entitled to.”

Douglas McAllister MP went on to advise:

“My office is open, and no appointment is necessary. Pension Credit application forms are available to collect from the office where our staff can help you complete your application so please do not hesitate to attend if you think you may qualify.”

Douglas McAllister MP’s office is located at 45 Kilbowie Rd, Clydebank G81 1BL and is open Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm.

The cut-off date for applying for a Winter Fuel Payment once accepted for Pension Credit is the 21st of December.
